1. Perfunctory (adj): (of an action) carried out without real interest, feeling, or effort. (बेपरवाह)
Synonyms: Cursory, Desultory, Superficial, Nonchalant
Antonyms: Concerned, Interested, Attentive
Example: She asked a few perfunctory questions about my family and then ended the conversation.

2. Bridle at (phrasal verb): To show annoyance or anger: (क्रोध दिखाना)
Synonyms: Outrage, Offend, Furious, Indignant
Antonyms: Delighted, Pleased, Contented, Happy
Example: Homeowners bridled at the new regulations.

3. Hooch (noun): Strong alcohol, especially whisky. (शराब)
Synonyms: Booze, Liquor, Alcohol, Bootleg,
Antonyms: Nonintoxicant
Example: During Prohibition, everybody drank homemade hooch.

4. Denigrate (verb): Criticize unfairly. (निंदा करना, बदनाम करना)
Synonyms: Disparage, Calumniate, Besmirch, Deprecate
Antonyms: Acclaim, Applaud, Exalt, Extol
Example: Theater critics have been denigrating her acting ability for years.

5. Caught in the crossfire (idiom): To be involved in a situation where people around you are arguing: (दो बहस करने वाले लोगों या समूहों के बीच पड़ना)
Synonyms: Argument, Conflict, Dispute, Quarrel
Example: I was caught in the crossfire of their argument over the budget, but I refused to take sides and told them to work it out on their own.

6. Edifice (noun): The arrangement of parts that gives something its basic form. (संरचना, ढांचा)
Synonyms: Architecture, Configuration, Framework, Structure, Skeleton
Example: The edifice of the argument is quite simple, once you get past the fancy language

7. Subaltern (noun): Of lower status. (सब से नीचा, आधीन)
Synonyms: Subordinate, Subservient, Minion, Inferior
Antonyms: Superior, Supercilious, Eminent
Example: Its strength is 60 mounted policemen and 190 foot, with II superior and 40 subaltern officer.

8. Trespasser (noun): A person entering someone’s land or property without permission. (अनधिकार प्रवेश करने वाला)
Synonyms: Interloper, Intruder, Snooper, Invader, Gate-Crasher
Antonyms: Guest, Invitee
Example: The landowner ordered the trespasser off his premises.

9. Prolific (adj): Producing constant or successful results. (सफल, फलदार)
Synonyms: Fertile, Fecund, Fruitful, Productive
Antonyms: Fruitless, Unproductive, Futile, Unsuccessful
Example: The company hopes to woo investors with news of its prolific stock returns.

10. Perversion (verb): Distortion or corruption of the original course, meaning, or state of something. (अर्थ पलटना या उलटना, दोष, बिगाड़)
Synonyms: Distortion, Misrepresentation, Falsification, Travesty
Antonyms: Conformity, Normality, Regularity
Example: If there’s a hidden charge for the service, then that’s a perversion of the word “free”.
